The Vulnerability analyst will be play a supporting role to the Vulnerability Manager and work closely with the Operations team to deliver a vulnerability management capability to RB globally.

 

Scope of responsibilities:

  • Researching threats and vulnerabilities and where appropriate, take action to mitigate threats and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Review, assess, and mitigate penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on information systems and infrastructure.
  • Recommend, schedule and/or apply fixes, security patches and any other measures required in the event of a security breach.
  • Monitor security vulnerability information from vendors and third parties.
  • Locate and repair security problems and failures.
  • Collate security incident and event data to produce monthly exception and management reports.
  • Perform normal and exceptional processing of user access and change requests, escalating such requests when appropriate.
  • Report unresolved network security exposures, misuse of resources or noncompliance situations using defined escalation processes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and procedures.
  • Research, recommend, evaluate and implement information security solutions that identify and/or protect against potential threats, and respond to security violations.
  • Respond to and, where appropriate, resolve or escalate reported security incidents.

Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management.

Graduate level (Degree or equivalent experience and/or professional qualification).
  • Pragmatic, and solution oriented.
  • Committed to deliver continuous service improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a high paced environment without supervision.
  • Ability to set direction and manage with hands-off approach.
  • Experience of working in a global/multi-site, matrix environment
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Flexibility in thinking, with creative and pragmatic problem solving skills
  • Excellent understanding of the organisations goals and objectives with a strong commercial and business awareness.
  • Flexible to travel, if required
  • The business language in RB is English, therefore fluency in English is essential and fluency in local languages advantageous
