The Treasury Analyst will support treasury activities within the Health Business unit, based in Slough CHQ.  You will be supporting the activities of Group Treasury in the BU and Head of Treasury – Health to manage FX exposures, banking and cash management including trapped cash.

 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support Treasury activities within the Health BU
  • Assist Head of Treasury – Health identifying transactional and economic FX exposures within the BU, and in identifying and managing FX exposure and hedging
  • Weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.  Ad hoc reporting will be required when requested
  • Implementation of cash management solutions within BU following Group Policy
  • Assist with local/region/area bank tenders
  • Identification of trapped cash and management of balances
  • Manage dividend flows following Group policy in conjunction with Tax, Legal, Local and Group Finance
  • Assist Hub Finance staff with group netting process
  • Document processes and recommend and implement improvements where necessary
  • Develop the treasury management system to automated task and bring high levels of control into the reporting system
  • Manage treasury systems deployment and use in BU
  • Assist on current and upcoming projects which have treasury touch points
 
Requirements:
 
  • A level standard education, with Maths and English GCSE Grade C (minimum) or equivalent
  • University education, ideally in an accounting or finance field
  • Accounting and/or AMCT qualification is desirable, and willingness to study strongly preferred
  • Some experience in a corporate treasury or similar function is expected to perform the role to a high standard
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills essential
  • VBA or C++ Programming skills a strong advantage, but not essential
  • Previous experience with IT2, or another Treasury Management System is highly desirable

  • Proven verbal and written communication skills at all levels as well as commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Ability to take ownership and resolve issues and prioritisation of work where necessary
  • Fluency in English is essential as the business language in RB is English
  • In line with RB core values, the candidate will be goal orientated and able to work in a direct and often time pressured environment
  • Innovation and problem solving are key along with tenacity, tough-mindedness and ability to influence and demonstrate strong team working abilities and commitment
  • Flexible to travel, if required
