A fantastic opportunity is available for a Talent & Leadership Development Director reporting to the Group Head of Talent & Leadership Development.

 

Partnering with the Area HR Director for Developing Markets – Health and their HR Leadership Team, you will be responsible for planning, delivering and managing talent development activities across the Area to unleash the potential and drive outperformance at individual, team and organisational level.

A high level of agility, personal drive and accountability are crucial to this role. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced, agile environment. You will have a high level of energy, work collaboratively and have leadership development experience in a dynamic, international environment.

As an integral member of an experienced and dynamic senior HR leadership team responsible for over 16,000 people across Asia, Latin America, Africa and Middle East, you will have responsibility for the full Talent agenda and will play a key role in supporting a critical growth Area for RB.

Key Responsibilities:

 

You will be responsible for partnering with HR and business leaders across Developing Markets to drive talent management and leadership development strategies, tools and processes. This includes performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, coaching, development planning, D&I and competency identification to develop leaders to meet the current and future business needs.

  • Work with the Developing Markets HR Leadership Team to plan Talent & Leadership Development activities throughout the year
  • Partner in managing talent specifically succession & development planning across markets with peers to build global talent pools
  • Run Leadership Development and High Potential development programmes across Developing Markets as required
  • Coach senior leaders and individuals across the business to drive outperformance   
  • Champion, participate in and manage global Talent, Learning & Development and Culture projects, programmes, and policies as required
  • Upskill HR leaders and their teams to run training and development programmes as necessary
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and generate insights, actions on interventions that truly build capability, leadership skills in the short and long term

Skills / experience and professional knowledge:

 

  • Proven experience working in a HR or Talent leadership role in a dynamic, international environment at senior management level is essential

  • Ability to effectively demonstrate capabilities as a Leadership Coach, Performance Consultant and Talent Director

  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into talent development plans

  • Previous experience of working within / across developing markets is preferred

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships and to  navigate smoothly within a complex global matrix organisation.

  • Excellent written, oral and positive influential interpersonal skills required

  • High change agility with proven ability to work under pressure without compromising on quality or deliverables

  • Results-oriented and "hands-on" approach

  • Must be an independent thinker, possess strong organization skills, strong customer focus and orientation

  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must be a problem solver and be able to work independently

  • Due to the geographical nature of this role, a high level of international travel is required to run development programmes and coach teams locally in market
