About the role:

 

Based within the R&D Health Packaging structure the role is positioned to assist with data collection on environmental and sustainability scheme data requests by other members of the team and functions within the business.

 
  • Responsible for the collection of packaging data through the interrogation and navigation of available data software systems.
  • Responsible for assisting with the validation and clarification of data collected.
  • Responsible for assisting with the construction, and final report preparation on environmental & sustainability initiative requests.
 
 

You will work within our Health business unit at ‘RB 2.0.  The role will be within our ‘Health’ pillar working on data requests for all RB Health brands. Depending on data requests, experience and resource allocation, data requests may arise within the wider RB Health team which will require you to work cross functionally with the regional packaging, marketing, commercial and the corporate team.  

 
 

Key responsibilities:

 
 
Within this role you will ensure:
  • The clarification and amendment of packaging material data on current packaging specifications
  • To maintain successful and accurate packaging data (to include all technical packaging specifications)
  • To coordinate with the wider packaging team to ensure changes to packaging specifications are captured and updated into the RB Health Packaging Specification Database (HPSD)
  • Under instruction, take ownership of packaging component material assessment and data collation
  • To collate, develop and maintain data in the RB Health Packaging Specification Database (HPSD)
  • To support colleagues and other business functions with packaging data requests
  • To assist in the maintenance of packaging related standard data request procedures
  • To assist in the production of packaging data in the formats requested
  • To assist in the coordination and planning of packaging data requests
  • Support the team in pulling together project data to help identify project success criteria
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Highlighting own training needs and working with his/ her manager to develop a training plan and achieve training goals
 
 
Key challenges:
 
  • Ability to use Microsoft applications and link applications and data
  • Willingness to learn basic packaging formats to ease data collection
  • Work with cross functional teams to access and collect standalone data
  • Support delivery of data requests to given deadlines
 
 
Is this you?
 
 
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an office environment
  • Educated to a minimum of A level / Diploma standard
  • Time and self-management skills
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing
  • A knowledge of current affairs related to the environment and sustainability
  • An awareness of packaging and consumer trends
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve, work in teams and multitask
  • Computer literacy is essential at a high standard for the Microsoft office suite of software
  • Effective communication skills both verbal, and written
  • An ability to influence and negotiate to get your ideas heard and have a positive input
  • Good team working skills, collaborative and inclusive with the ability to work well in cross functional teams
  • Full clean driving license
