Logistics Solutions Manager
Location: Duckmanton, Markham Vale

Role purpose:
  • To ensure logistics suppliers working with RB are providing excellent service at well.managed costs.
  • To guarantee that the logistics services executed for RB providing cutting-edge in cooperation with supply chain partners and in delivering value to the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
  • Ensuring consistent high level of service and quality in all aspects of Logistics activities.
  • Financial Modelling and Plan submissions for Logistics.
  • Controlling Logistics costs in line with Plan expectations.
  • Leading projects to drive down costs.
  • Challenging and improving current practices in cooperation with 3PLs and within RB teams.
  • Control of truck fill rate for Freight in and Freight out of the UK warehouse(s).
  • Control and reporting of held stock, including charges to be raised to factories.
  • Monthly responsibility to manage, control and reduce costs of internal processes including customs clearance, manual processes and to work with RB Team members to reduce total supply chain cost.
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met within the RB UK supply chain.
  • Ensure improving coordination with other parts of RB team (Customer Service, Demand Planning, Finance).
  • Liaise with RB Hub(s) to optimise the relationship and develop improved processes.
  • Write up and execute RFI’s, RFQ and manage the full tender and executions of any logistics provider changed.
Skills and qualifications required:
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical ability; analyse complex data, identify issues, explain variances and recommend solutions
  • Strong Relationship builder and excellent at cross functional day to day interaction or project work
  • Logistics background working with global freight
  • University Degree - Business/Engineering/Logistics
  • Experience of working for a major third party distributor or managed third parties for major FMCG company
  • High theoretical knowledge of Supply Chain Management
