Key Account Manager - Prescription

About the role

 

The Prescription KAM (National-Large) will be responsible for achieving sales goals by implementing company approved programs throughout the continental US within the prescription classes of trade.  This is accomplished through targeting, contract execution and management and developing/executing and driving effective go to market strategies to non-retail institutional national and regional accounts, including but not limited to: Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, Payers, PBM’s and Medicare. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 
  • Sales Growth: Develop and execute a POA that delivers on plan goals.  Work in close collaboration with internal and external partners and key stake holder to ensure success.
  • Contracting: Accountable for contracting process from beginning to end (negotiation, execution, management).  Working in collaboration with RB legal, manager and other key stakeholders to ensure timely and effective contracting.  Strategic mindset to negotiate contracts more efficiently and with more programs, growth commitments, etc. that will drive committed business.
  • Account Management: Cultivate, enhance and maintain customer relationships for contracted partners and strategic targets ensuring local RB business objectives are achieved.  Working with key stake holders and internal cross-functional teams, ensure problem resolution is timely and accurate for all contracted partners. 
  • Marketing/Communication: Create, execute and manage effective pull-through marketing programs to drive revenue growth within strategic accounts.  Collaborating with marketing and agencies to design/create program-related materials and targeted product marketing opportunities for accounts. 
  • Financial Acumen – Ability to develop POA and analyze all available data sets to deliver on goals.  Inclusive of syndicated data set, P&L management and other third party resources (Artia, etc…).  Overall Continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability and overall improvement in the management of business.

Qualifications
 
  • 4 year college degree
  • 5-7 years related sales experience
  • Previous experience with the specific customer account preferred
  • Ability to travel extensively required (50%)
  • Strong knowledge of sales function processes and cross-functional exposure to other RB Business Operations
  • Self-starter solutions based entrepreneur with strong financial acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data, as well as Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication skills, a customer-first mentality and the ability to collaborate, influence and communicate at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a detail orientation.
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite
