In line with our continued transformation within Global IT, we have created a new role for an IT Finance Manager to join the Global Technical Services within IT, Slough.

 

The role will sit within the Commercial Management Team, as part of the Global Technical Services function – this team is responsible for the control and management of IT outsourced services and vendor contracts, cost optimisation, total cost of ownership and recharging of IT services.

 

The IT Finance Manager supports the IT Leadership Team in setting budgets for IT, promoting transparency around the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of IT services, and identifying opportunities to optimise the overall cost of delivery of IT services provided to the wider business.

 
Main responsibilities will include:
 
Measurement of IT Budgets

  • Monitor IT budgets for the effectiveness of spend in alignment with budget governance
  • Work with Commercial Manager to determine the scope of IS service costs to be recharged to wider business

IT Total Cost of Ownership
  • Define the scope of costs that will form the basis of IT TCO
  • Compare IT costs both internally and against appropriate benchmarks
  • Continually review and update TCO models and tools to ensure that they continue to provide reliable outputs
  • Evaluate the impact of IT TCO on overall business costs
  • Reporting & Communications
  • Assist the Commercial Manager in communicating IT TCO to relevant stakeholders across IT and the wider RB business
  • Produce regular reports for the senior team on IT budgets, forecasts, spending and TCO as well as specialist reports when required
What are we looking for?:
  • Demonstrable experience in a IT management role
  • Proven experience in driving cost savings
  • Demonstrable knowledge of service provider contracts and procurement processes
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax and legal requirements
  • Self-starter and able to work autonomously / within teams
  • Critical thinker and ability to demonstrate logical approach to problem solving
  • Able to deal with conflict and mediate
