The primary role of the IS Senior Business Analyst is to proactively partner with the other commercial functions within the organisation to implement common business systems and processes across UK, Ireland, DACH and Nordics. These systems and process are to be underpinned by high quality, consistent data and purposeful reporting, with the ultimate objective of delivering insights which create value and drive the business forward - whilst ensuring synergy, cost effectiveness and appropriate levels of governance are observed.



Key responsibilities and scope of this role:

  • Account manage your functional stakeholders including demand management and resource planning
  • Work with your functional stakeholders and the relevant Global Competency Centre to develop and maintain an application roadmap and 3 year plan for stakeholder acceptance and rollout across the region
  • Drive the in-market transition towards use of common (global) systems and processes, delivering efficiency in the back office and effectiveness in the front office
  • Ensure implemented systems are being fully exploited to deliver the business intelligence needed to support business growth, maximising return on investment in IT
  • Plan, manage and execute agreed regional & country projects across Northern Europe
  • Identify, evaluate, prioritize and deliver agreed value added initiatives across Northern Europe
  • Develop and deliver training and continuous improvement programs to ensure system adoption, process compliance and optimum use of solutions

Business Analysis:
  • Providing key insights from financial & commercial data to drive business change initiatives
  • Define business application requirements (technical & non-technical language)
  • Define the resulting application changes and develop cost/benefit comparisons
  • Provide direction to developers and project teams
  • Proving vital input into the assessment, design, development and implementation of business solutions.
  • Use of investigative techniques (interviews, workshops, observations, scenarios, prototyping, quantitative approaches) to understand the current state of data/processes/reporting
  • Document, review, analyse and make recommendations to improve current state of data/processes/reporting – driving consistency across the region
  • Engage with stakeholders to baseline KPI’s, agree on targets, develop a business case, define success criteria,  identify methods of measurement and establish ownership for benefits realisation and measurement
  • Champion the development and implementation of data and process compliance measures

Project Management:
  • Act as the lead interface for requirements gathering for business projects
  • Leading country and region specific projects with regard to scope and vision 
  • Leadership of projects through whole lifecycle ensuring compliance with RB methodology 
  • Work within a matrix environment providing support and deliverables 
  • Deliver highest levels of security and internal controls across all implementations



Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree or similar qualification with IT and business management as core subjects
  • A minimum of 5 years practical experience gained working within a commercial organization in a business analysis or similar role
  • Candidate must have a high level of commercial acumen, be able to demonstrate a detailed understanding of commercial business processes and their interdependencies,  and articulate how technology is used as a strategic enabler to run and transform a commercial operation
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, verification and methodology development 
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem solving skills
  • Experience overseeing the design, development and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems or products
  • Proven practical experience in managing & delivering projects (on Time, on Budget, in Scope)
  • Strong track record of contributing to projects and achieving results
  • Experience in managing direct report/s and working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
