In this role you will have a unique opportunity to work with the top management of the organization on topics that shape the strategy of RB. The role will leverage your strategy, analytical and problem-solving expertise as well as leadership skills, enabling you to have a meaningful impact on the performance of the business. In this role you will have a good balance between having ownership of continuous topics and processes (such as annual 3-year planning, or Board strategy update) and working on dynamic ad-hoc topics that are most crucial to the business. Strategy Manager role leaves sufficient room for you to initiate and lead new topics as well, such as potential entry into a new consumer health category.

 

In this role you will work alongside 1-2 other peers, closely cooperating with Competitive Insights, Data, Analytics &Insights teams as well as working hand-in-hand with other professionals across functions and geographies. Strategy team is lead by Strategy and Competitive Insights Director and is part of central headquarter organisation (CDO). You will be responsible for:

 

  • Strategy projects

o    Provoke strategic thinking for health business by challenging status quo and bringing new insights

o    Identify, diagnose and address key strategic issues to drive growth 

o    Support top management in articulation of corporate (RB Health) strategy

o    Drive change through clear and impactful communication with top management 

  • New growth platforms:

o    Building on market and consumer trends and using analytical approach, scan, assess, identify, and prioritise new areas for further business growth

o    Work with multifunctional teams to diligence and define opportunities for expansion, translate them into executable plans

o    Occasionally engage in Due Diligence process and M&A activity

  • Strategic Planning Process:

o    Support RB strategic planning process working alongside key portfolio category managers

o    Ensure strategic plan and financial planning functions work collaboratively

o    Liaise with key stakeholders and work cross-functionally with business teams

o    Challenge and input suggested to category plans

o    Prepare materials for and support executive strategic plan sessions


Is this you?


●      Related work experience in corporate & business strategy (ideally top-tier strategy consulting)

●      Exposure to commercial side (marketing&sales) of consumer goods, or retail, or healthcare companies preferred

●      Commercial and business acumen – the ability to quickly grasp new and different types of business propositions and understand how they operate

●      Strong problem solving and analytical skills – the ability to run quantitative analysis and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of, or willingness to learn, analytics tools like PowerBI

●      Focus on action and outcomes – results-orientated and focused on achieving measurable sales and financial objectives; demonstrated ability to plan and carry out a workload efficiently and effectively

●      Entrepreneurial – has creative, internal drive and motivation to constantly challenge status que, look for novel solutions and approaches, seek to disrupt existing ways of doing things

●      Curious – always on the lookout for new trends and ideas externally, keeps hand on the pulse of the industry

●      Effective communicator – writes and presents effectively, adjusting the message and content to fit the audience

●      Proactive and adaptable – willing to respond positively to changing circumstances; the ability to spot opportunities and risks, and take action to get to the best outcome

●      Collaborative – demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with the broader functional teams

●      Maturity – demonstrated exposure to and ability to work well with senior executive teams, Influencing others and managing conflicting views

●      Resilience and ability to handle and resolve complexity and ambiguity
