 A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced risk & safety professional to join our Safety, Quality, Regulatory & Compliance team, based in Hull.

    

 

The Global Risk and Safety Manager is integrated within the Global Vigilance Group (GVG), which is a critical safety division of the wider Safety, Quality, Regulatory and Compliance (SQRC) function. As part of the Global Benefit-Risk Management Group, the Global Risk and Safety Manager will be responsible for workload flow, management and general compliance across the Human Risk and Signal Management writing groups. This function has a central role in risk identification, validation and communication, managing risk through labelling and other means, and post-market safety signal surveillance and review

 

  

Key responsibilities include:

 

 

  • Maintain oversight of Human Risk writing activities e.g. RSI, RMP, Requests for Information (RFI) from regulatory authorities relating to safety submissions and variations, and Safety Observation Assessments (SOA) from routine Signal Management and other sources;

  • Line management of Lead RSI, RMP and Signal Investigation Writers;

  • Develop and/or optimise current processes for information collation, authoring, review and submission of RMPs;

  • Collaborate with Regulatory colleagues on process review of product RSI documentation update and establish appropriate cross-functional procedures;

  • Facilitate Signal Management activities, including coordination of data output (along with Signal Investigation Writers) for review and analysis by senior colleagues.

 

 

 

 Is this You?

 

  • Qualified to at least 1st degree level or equivalent, in an appropriate health related or life science discipline (e.g. Biomedical Science, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or similar, you’ll have a solid grounding within vigilance/ pharmacovigilance or related experience;

 

  • An appreciation and understanding of global medicines regulations is necessary, along with the ability to critically appraise scientific data across multiple therapeutic areas;

 

  •  Demonstrable experience in people management is important, coupled with strong project management skills.
