A fantastic opportunity is available for a Senior Global Procurement Manager Supply CapEx & Warehouse in Procurement Team


The role will have interfaces at the most senior level with our manufacturing CapEx & Warehousing supplier base to provide RB with a competitive advantage globally The job holder will also interface with our Supply Executive & Senior Management level and work closely with the Supply/Engineering organisation. The applicant will participate to the budget process for warehouse and will highly contribute to CapEx budget


Role Purpose:

This role will:

Define Sourcing Strategies for CapEx & Warehouse portfolio

Lead warehouse regional procurement team and manage global CapEx team

Ensure Global Best Practice Sharing cross categories 

Manage global Health CapEx investments 

Build and accelerate sustainable Procurement strategies for selected Categories across all KPIs through understanding of, and supporting internal stakeholders’ needs, professional sourcing approach, building effective relationships and alignment with stakeholders, increasing spend coverage by Procurement, and the development of Procurement skills in the Indirect Procurement team


Scope and dimensions of the role

Manage Budget of ~280MM GBP

Structure, Manage and Recruit Procurement team

Drive all major Capital Expenditure procurement strategies and projects for all Health manufacturing locations. Supported by a Global Procurement Manager

Manage a remote regional Warehouse procurement team through yearly objectives setting and tracking

Lead vision and strategy for CapEx & Warehouse

Key Procurement contact for Business Senior Leadership, ensuring Key Initiatives are translated into Procurement activities




Accountable for driving sourcing and contracting strategy of CapEx spend through an optimized supplier base that will generate competitive advantage for RB Health operations world-wide

Develop relationships with key suppliers at top management levels

Works closely with Factory project teams in understanding the needs, objectives and priorities to improve cost, service and quality of spend covered


Global Warehouse:

Increase spend coverage by Procurement

Develop fit for purpose strategies for Warehouses (3PL/4PL): Lease/buy, Technologies, structure & organisation 

Work closely with Supply Senior Management in understanding needs, objectives and priorities to optimise total cost, NWC, quality and service 

Set, lead Procurement priorities and ensure smooth and fast execution 

Build Procurement expertise; understand key cost and price drivers for managed categories and build cost models 

Rationalize supply base, negotiate terms and conditions, secure signed contracts, ensure continuity of business 

Build relationships with functions and ensure involvement at earliest stage of process 

Ensure appropriate reporting of Procurement initiatives and visibility in regional P&L 

Work closely with Global Procurement Teams, facilitate implementation of Global strategies, promote and support best practice sharing and benchmark 


Logistic / freight:  

Ensure Health requirements are identified and communicated within Global Logistic team 


The candidate should: 

Strive to be recognised as indisputable source of value by stakeholders  

Manage and monitor Procurement performance 

Promote the total cost of ownership approach within business 

Lead implementation of Supplier Relationship Management & suppliers evaluation processes 

Enforce compliance of Procurement processes with RB policies 

Motivate suppliers to consider RB as preferred customer in presenting innovation and cost efficiency projects 

Lead implementation of tools (Spend Analytics, P2P, eRFx etc.) and process improvements 

Provide assumptions on key trends and projects in pipeline for budgeting and plan purposes in alignment with Finance and budget owners 


Key Challenges 

Delivery of sustainable results in volatile and complex markets, implement spend discipline and bring savings to bottom line 

Proper usage of global leverage and sourcing, maximising global results while keeping a good balance and distribution of results among markets and factories 


Professional Experience 

Proven experience in working in a fast moving and result driven environment 

Strong Experience in FMCG is a must 

Solid experience in Indirect Procurement field with focus on Supply & Warehouse and experience in managing cross-country teams


Personal Attributes 

Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills 

Good analytical skills, business acumen and knowledge of financial fundamentals 

Proven team leadership skills and ability to manage remotely Entrepreneurial mindset 

Ability to make decisions and take calculated risk 

Flexibility to travel on regular basis
