As we continue to grow our Medical Affairs function, a new opportunity has been created for a Medical Affairs Manager to join our Global Medical Affairs Team, based in Hull, focusing on the Gastro-Intestinals Category.

  

We are looking for someone with a passion and enthusiasm for medical affairs to work within our global medical affairs department. With responsibility for medical insight and providing strategic advice to drive the development of innovative GI products. Using proven expertise in medical affairs or biological sciences to support the development of a wide range of product development including food supplements, foods for special medicinal purposes, medical devices and medicines.

 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Proactively provide medical insight and strategic advice to project teams to ensure the feasibility and success of product development initiatives
  • Use insight into conditions to drive product development or claim substantiation routes for constructing product pipeline
  • Conduct fair-balanced assessment of efficacy and safety data and provide advice on the best medical approach to drive brand growth
  • Build understanding of the literature, product data, competitors and current medical opinion
  • Assist in registration and development of RB Global products through delivery of assessment reports on efficacy and safety of products or actives to support registrations as medical devices or medicines
 
 Is this You?
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably associated to healthcare or the life sciences (eg basic science, pharmacy, nursing or medical) with postgraduate qualifications preferred
  • Experience in preparing medical, clinical or scientific documents to a high standard is essential and experience of working in or for the Healthcare OTC industry is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a medical affairs, medical information or product support role. Ideally in an OTC, personal care or cosmetic environment
  • Proven ability to write, review and interpret medical and scientific information
