A fantastic opportunity is available for a Finance Manager – Finance Systems in our Finance team.


This role is responsible for supporting the global finance and business users with month/quarter end processes, plan/forecast processes, operational change management, continuous improvement and coordinating ad-hoc finance projects. They will have primary responsibility for the day to day operations of Finance Systems with a strong hands-on approach.


The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and approach all tasks with a logical approach. The role is a high profile position and good stepping stone to a global career with the RB finance community.


This role has significant cross functional responsibility at CHQ driving the use of the global finance systems across the sales, category, finance and corporate functions. This role serves as a key business partner to the finance group. The scope of the role includes:

  • Change management and maintenance of the group’s key financial and management reporting systems, including Hyperion HFM, ICE and fire (approx 70% of focus)
  • Ensuring HFM, fire and ICE upgrades and future developments are completed on time and address finance business requirements   
  • Help develop, coordinate and continuously improve governance processes for system and process changes, and liaise with IS on projects/upgrades to ensure business benefits are appropriate.
  • Develop and provide training for business users in using the global systems.
  • Ensuring that financial master data, mapping rules, dimensions are accurately maintained to carry out month-end close processes
  • Work closely with business units to ensure sharing of financial systems and process knowledge.
  • Continuous improvement and challenging of processes, by gathering business requirements from users, identifying efficiencies and driving changes (20% of focus)
  • Project led ad-hoc CHQ finance projects and initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Creating and maintaining process and system documentation, change control processes, user guides and training materials
  • Month End, Plan & Forecast Close and Consolidation (10% of the time)
  • Responsible for month end process from a finance systems perspective e.g open periods, exchange rates reconciliation
  • Monitor and manage month end close and consolidate processes and systems (Actuals, Plan and Forecast)
  • Provide system instructions, timetables and guidance to country users
  • Support consolidation team with month end activities and reporting processes

  • Proven track record of delivery and problem solving skills.
  • Qualified to degree level. Recognised Finance Qualification (CPA/ACMA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of finance processes and systems is essential.
  • Experience of administering/maintaining a system required as a minimum.
  • Experience of working within a multinational corporate environment.
  • Experience of managing and motivating a team of people both as part of a formal team and part of a wider group.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and work to tight deadlines where required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven experience of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Effective and pro-active in identifying investigating and resolving issues.
  • Strong project management, organisational, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Analysis and interpretation of financial information.


  • Displays high sense of urgency. Focussed on achievement of deliverables to the highest quality in a high pressure environment.
  • Track record of delivering to deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Capable of influencing at senior levels within the business and able to deal with potentially conflicting internal demands.
  • Flexible to changing demands as appropriate.
