A rare opportunity is available for a Finance Manager to join our Finance Corporate Reporting Team.  The announcement of RB 2.0 involves the creation of two fully P&L accountable business units, ‘’RB Health’’ and ‘’RB Hygiene Home’’.   This high-profile role at the centre of this evolution with significant exposure to Group CFO and other senior finance leaders provides an exciting development opportunity for a motivated and driven finance professional.

 

 

 

The corporate reporting team is responsible for all historical financial information to Group management and external investors.  Furthermore, the team supports the evolution of this operation model, and manages changing reporting requirements during our period of transformation.

 

 

 

You will be responsible for the Group’s financial reporting to the CEO, CFO, Group Controller, Group Executive Committee and Board of Directors.  The Finance Manager is the main point of contact for following up queries that come out of reviewing results and for all Group reporting requirements.  You will be working with country and Business Unit finance teams to understand business drivers for results, and with Investor Relations to produce accurate financial reports.

 

 

 

Furthermore, this position involves working with various reporting systems that are currently being replaced with a new SAP BPC tool. The Finance Manager needs to be comfortable in producing ‘ad hoc’ analysis and schedules to meet the varied reporting needs as they arise

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

 

The key aspects of the role divides into two parts:

 

 

 

1)     Internal management reporting, responsible for:


 

  • Assembling Group Monthly Financial Review (MFR) pack to be reviewed by CEO, CFO and Group Controller
  • Following up of issues arising from MFR review
  • Assembling CFO’s Executive Committee and Board presentations covering financial results and presenting information in a clear and concise fashion, highlighting key areas of focus
  • Producing Plan and Latest Forecast packs covering Plan and Forecast submissions from local business units
  • Jointly responsible with Corporate Business Planning team for assembly of the Group’s annual budget and quarterly forecast
 

 

2)     External financial reporting, responsible for:

 

 

 

  • Producing quarterly, half year and year end press releases
  • Finacnial statements within the Group's Annual Report
  • Reviewing and ensuring proper support behind the Group's external results presentations
  • Working with investor relations in answering investor queries and supporting them in communicating and presenting the Group's results to the Stock Exchange


 

Requirements:

 

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience of IFRS Group Reporting.  Experience of working on the reporting of public companies under IFRS is highly desirable
  • Experience with large, international companies, preferably FMCG or similar
  • Confidence in using Excel to produce reporting schedules that can be modified and updated as needs require
  • Ability to be firm with senior stakeholders when required, particularly with respecting to meeting deadlines and competing needs
  • Ability to analyse problems and think through potential solutions
  • An enthusiastic team player and self-motivator, who is inquisitive, confident and flexible enough to work in a constantly changing fast paced environment
  • Calm demeanor
  • Fluency in English is essential as the business language in RB is English
