A fantastic opportunity is available for a Core Safety Writer to join our Global Core Safety Group.

The role of Core Safety Writer is integrated within the Global Core Safety Group (part of the Global Vigilance Group) and reports directly to the Safety Physician. This is a crucial role requiring the successful applicant to take responsibility for writing, editing and maintaining high quality medical and clinical documentation for regulatory submissions, which are essential for the ongoing evaluation of the benefit-risk profiles of RB products, business growth and building a strong reputation with Health Authorities.

 

The Core Safety Writer will research, create and revise various documents associated with medical information and clinical research. These documents may be submitted to Health Authorities worldwide to support clinical development and registration of RB products as well as to communicate study data, both internally and externally and includes the maintenance of the Company Core Data Sheets (CCDS) which are a central resource for product information relating to safety (Reference Safety Information), indications, posology and pharmacology.


Do you have?

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or life sciences (e.g. Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Toxicology, or equivalent)
  • Experience in preparing medical or scientific documents to a high standard is essential and experience of working in or for the Healthcare OTC industry is desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of drug development processes and understanding of healthcare compliance laws and guidelines is desirable
  • Ability to develop appropriate research strategy and conduct a systematic review of available published data including retrieval, critical appraisal and appropriate citing of literature
  • Experience of scientific writing and ability to adapt style and content for different target audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail, technical editing and QC skills
  • Ability to search and scan various internal and external databases
  • Skilled with MS Word and competent in MS Excel and the use of bibliography databases/reference management software
  • Experience with Document Management systems
  • Strong project management and organisational skills combined with good understanding of the commercial drivers of the business

  • An appreciation and understanding of global medicines regulations
  • Ability to work across multiple therapeutic areas and interact with various functions/departments
