Commercial Costing Analyst

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Commercial Costing Analyst to join our Supply/Finance team in Parsippany, NJ.

 
Role Description

The Commercial Costing Analyst, is a key position within the Supply Finance Organization, partnering with both Supply Finance and Supply Operations to support the business with the management of the costing process.  This Role requires a candidate with a strong technical skill set and a robust knowledge of financial reporting systems.  Candidate needs to possess a strong work ethic, strong analytical skills, and ability to follow financial impact of month end activities from start to finish in ensuring accurate reporting of financials.

 
Responsibilities
  • Performance Management

o Support the ongoing standard setting process for the Commercial organization

o Coordinate the development of cost estimates for new Custom Displays with Supply Project Managers and the Finance Embellishment team.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis & Business Partnering

o Assist in the budget preparation for Commercial organization through the accurate preparation and reporting of commercial standard costs.

o Communicate forecast updates to Supply and Finance Management.

o Analyze cost data to drive insights and proper business decisions.

o Analyze the impact of the quarterly Transfer Price updates

o Coordinate all required requests from the Global Health Supply Hub from a costing standpoint

o Ad hoc reporting as required to support the whole of the Health Supply Services Finance organization

o Right hand to Commercial COGs and Costing Manager

  • Month End Accounting & Reporting

o Ensure the accuracy of the month end results through the proper management of standard costs

  • Controlling

o Enforce financial policy to ensure that the Global Costing policy is being carried out efficiently.

o Support the Finance Transformation Projects from the Supply Finance Standpoint

 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting; MBA/CPA preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of Finance or Management Accounting experience. Prior Supply Finance, Factory Finance or FP&A experience will be considered a strong asset.
  • SAP experience helpful.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, inter-personal, and communication skills, with the ability to transform data into insights
  • Adept multi-tasker who can prioritize and manage multiple requirements with tight timelines.
  • An eye towards continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify both finance and operational processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables, v-lookups, and formulas is required.
  • Demonstrated ability in creating/customizing financial reports within structured systems.
