A fantastic opportunity is available for an ambitious Category Insights Manager to join our Sales team.

  

 

A Category Insights Manager at RB is responsible influencing and driving our key retailer relationships (through the team and their own external contact plan) to advance the in-store execution of the category. The role will involve internal & functional working with the National Account and the trade marketing teams as well as managing and developing a large number of direct reports to ensure priorities are clear and clear strategic building blocks and tactics are being driven with the appropriate sense of urgency externally to result in store excellence and retailer performance.

 

 

Key Accountability:

  • Lead and execute BIC category management, to ensure RB is delivering against retailer initiatives in line with RB desires
  • Understand relevant Category Growth Driver’s within the retailer, with quantifiable £RSV opportunity, and how 4P tactics will deliver growth
  • Build and drive partnership engagement, internally & externally, by aligning key stakeholders on the category journey
  • Manage direct reports, and wider cross functional teams, directing knowledge & expertise transfer that drives categories.
  • Act without bias, but remain commercially aware of decisions, communicating with tact and diplomacy at all times
  • Ensure the range review process is met end to end, including presence at merchandising centres when required
  • Co-ordinate suppliers and gap fill knowledge requirements where necessary, including shopper research, loyalty, focus groups and other, to ensure project objectives are met

  • Proven track record of developing and managing customer relationships at a senior level; buying managers and above
  • Ability to influence across functions

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and vision
  • Analytical and creative
  • Confident people manager
  • Leadership qualities

Desirable:

  • Previous FMCG account management experience
  • Degree educated
  • Data experienced; Nielsen, Space Planning, IRI, Kantar, or similar
  • Advanced usage of Excel & PowerPoint
